Contemporary Design Houses: How You Can Make Your Home Look More Bold

Contemporary Design Living Room

If you find bold, trendy designs appealing, you’ll want to take a look at these houses with contemporary design. These homes combine shape and textures in interesting ways in order to create a more unique overall look. By looking at these properties, you will be inspired to create a more interesting look for your home.

One of the easiest ways to give your home a more contemporary look is to mix and match patterns and prints. It’s also a good idea to blend different kinds of textures and aim for things that complement each other rather than things that clash.

The color white is frequently used in contemporary design. You can get a very visually appealing look by combining various shades of white. However, using a few pops of color, such as a white pillow with an accent color, can add some extra visual interest to the room. If you find white to be overly drab, you could try combining bright colors instead. Pairing two saturated by complimentary colors with a pattern in a neutral tone creates a room that’s eye-catching without being overwhelming. Blues and greens are examples of bright colors that pair very well. Silver accents can also make any room look more contemporary. Try adding a mirror with a silver frame, or silver frames to some of your pictures and posters. You’ll be amazed at how much it changes the feel of your room. Even fireplace irons are available in silver.

Many homes with a contemporary design place furniture in interesting ways. Furniture layout is done in a way that gives consideration to the way people use the room. Many people like to create a “reading nook” by placing a chair next to a bookshelf, or a conversation space with two chairs facing one another. Contemporary homes often use coffee tables that are massive in sizes, though most coffee tables are on the small side. These homes can be great for entertaining, particularly if you like to play board games and card games. They also make a great statement piece.

Change up your living room periodically with a few new accessories. This is easy to do if your overall design is more neutral in tone. You can dramatically change the feel of a room without spending much money at all. A few throw pillows and blankets can make a big difference. Adding something with lettering to it is also one fun way to make a room feel more contemporary. You could get letters that stick directly to your wall, or a poster that says a fun phrase. This is a wonderful way to improve the design of a room while showcasing your personality. Florals aren’t usually associated with contemporary design but you can use them to great effect as well. Use a bright, bold floral print in just one small section of a room. It’ll add a lot of visual interest, but will let you keep the room’s contemporary feel.

Some people think that they need to massively decorate their home if they want to create a new look. However, this isn’t usually the case. You can make a home feel fresh and contemporary with just a few simple changes. It’s inexpensive, and it’s easy. Whether you’re adding pops of color or fresh new accents, applying these simple ideas can help revitalize your home. Applying contemporary design to your house can help make it feel fresher and more interesting than it ever has before. You’ll feel like your whole house has been remodeled, and you’re living in a brand new home.
